Sea trials can be organised if required. On the sea trial, not only will the engines and overall vessel performance be evaluated, the steering , controls, shafting, engine monitoring, exhaust system  and the structural hull elements will also be tested while under load.  The trial would have to take place with the owner or his representative  in attendance and all liability would rest with them.
