I have been involved with boats since an early age with a background of mostly racing, but over the years having cruised UK waters, the Caribbean and Mediterranean.  

I have worked for 31 years in the marine trade, 16 years of which was for a large North Wales boatyard, latterly as yard repairs manager, the last 15 years as a full time marine surveyor.

I hold full professional indemnity insurance with a reputable company and I am an Accredited Member of the Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA).  The YDSA enforces a strict entry requirement, the YDSA requiring an entry exam, they insist on a policy of continuing professional development and enforce a strict code of conduct and require the member to hold professional indemnity insurance.
